Ritu Varuni 
is a free spirit with diverse interests and a deep passion for Indian craft. Together with Bharati Chadha  she started e’thaan in 2004 as a culmination of many years of working  with Indian craft. Ritu’s work in interiors, architecture, furniture and product design is a  creative exploration of traditional Indian craft skills. She trained as an architect at the Institute of Environmental Design  D.C School of Architecture, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat, India.

Jitesh Malik is an artist-architect whose work tells the stories of his journeys. These journeys are his travels in the outside world and his inner introspective voyages. The designs that emerge combine a contemporary aesthetic with the techniques and skills of traditional crafts. Jitesh has a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Chandigarh College of Architecture. He also holds masters degrees in Sculpture and one in Landscape architecture from Pennsylvania State University, USA.

Tavishi is an enamel artist and a jewellery designer. Her design work in silver and semi precious stone jewellery spans over a decade. She has been trained in enamelling techniques by Veenu Shah, New Delhi and has her own independent studio. Her work explores the use of different metals, colours and hues. Tavishi holds a Masters degree in Sociology from The Delhi School of Economics.

Mehzabeen Mittinam

The children’s furniture in Ritu Varuni’s gallery has sanjhi patterns drawn by Mehzabeen, aged 11 years. With an amazing sense of design and detail and a huge artistic talent, Mehzabeen is a born artist. Her artwork speaks for itself.
